b. Give positive feedback and praise for effort and creativity.
c. Summarize the lesson – Talk about the shapes used and the colours.
d. Collect drawings to display in the classroom or send home as a proud accomplishment.
Evaluation:
- Observe the students as they draw and colour to ensure they are following the instructions.
- Provide individual assistance to students who may need more help.
- Assess students based on their ability to identify and use basic shapes, as well as their effort in colouring neatly.
Extension Activity:
- Have students draw additional elements around their house, such as trees, flowers, or the sun, to further encourage their creativity.
Note: Remember to be patient and encouraging. Nursery 1 students are just beginning to develop their fine motor skills and artistic abilities. The focus should be on the process and enjoyment of creating art rather than on perfect results.
